Freelancer Summer School
This summer Leeds Arts University and Leeds Conservatoire are collaborating to bring you The Freelancer Summer School! A week-long Enterprise Program to help you set up your business or develop your self-employed practice and springboard into the creative industries.
Join us from 13th to 17th July, where we’ll look at freelancer ‘essentials’; from mentoring, financial literacy and funding applications to IP and copyright, and local/external resources; all to help you become a skilled entrepreneur!
Open to 2026 3rd years, recent graduates, and those looking to freelance or set up their own businesses. More information on each event can be found on Eventbrite.
Throughout the week we will have representatives from different support programmes to help you develop your ideas, apply for funding and make your ideas a reality.
Who is this event for?
The Freelancer Summer School is open to LAU & LC 2026 graduates, alumni from the last 5 years, and 3rd year students who have started or are ready to start freelancing.
Where is it?
The week starts at Leeds Arts University and ends at Leeds Conservatoire, ticketholders will get full details of the locations.
I’m in! What do I do now?
Book a ticket to request your place, there are a few questions for us to ensure this is the right event for you! Once we’ve confirmed everything you will then need to fill out some forms to access the workshops and ongoing support before the first day. These will be emailed after your ticket confirmation, if you need help filling those out don’t hesitate to get in touch.
