Planning Your Day
We recommend that you keep the morning free before the ceremony to ensure that you can be at the venue with plenty of time to get your gown and photography.
We will be asking you to take your seat to graduate from one hour prior to the ceremony so we can check that you are there, and ensure that you are sitting in the correct seat.
We anticipate the ceremonies will last no longer than one hour. You should allow some time after the ceremony to take any additional photographs, say hello to friends and return your gown.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In this section you can find answers to a range of FAQ’s about booking and attending your graduation ceremony. If you can’t find your answer here, contact us at graduaton@lcm.ac.uk.
We regularly receive many questions relating to graduation, the ceremonies, and processes involved in attending. While we are happy to respond directly to queries, below is our FAQ, so please do read through the example questions and their responses before contacting us.
How do I book my place at Graduation?
Official Graduation invitations were sent in March 2026 – these emails included all the information you need with regard to your ceremony, how to confirm your attendance and book gowning and photography, as well as other useful information. If you don’t believe you have received this information please contact: graduation@lcm.ac.uk
When can I book on to my Graduation Ceremony?
Book your graduation place on the Ede & Ravenscroft Graduation Hub.
You will need your Leeds Conservatoire student ID number to start your booking.
Please input Leeds Conservatoire as your institution name and click continue.
You will then be invited to register and log in with your student ID, Surname and student email address (not your personal email address).
Do I need to be gowned to attend my graduation ceremony?
All graduating students are required to wear academic robes. The dress code for graduation is smart/formal.
Although the gowns are worn over the clothes, what you wear underneath it will still be visible. Casual attire and jeans are not permitted. Gowning will open 2 hours prior to your allocated ceremony.
If you were in receipt of the Leeds Conservatoire Bursary, you may be eligible for assistance with gowning costs. If you meet these criteria and you require support, please contact Student Funding.
I have changed my name since starting education, will this be acknowledged upon graduation?
All legal names will be used on any certification, so If you have legally changed your name (via deedpoll) and have updated Leeds Conservatoire of this, this name will be applied to the certificate.
We can read familiar names at your graduation ceremony, and you will be invited to share these upon signing up to attend.
I cannot afford Graduation, is there support?
Yes there is support for those that are unable to afford the costs associated with graduation. Details will be shared as part of the main graduation communications in due course.
I (or family members) cannot attend in person, is there a way to watch it?
All of our ceremonies are live streamed, and all eligible graduand names are read out regardless of attendance. Details and links will be circulated ahead of graduation days.
I don’t want to attend my graduation ceremony
Please notify us if you do not wish to attend – it helps us to manage the event for those that are planning to. You can do this via the Ede & Ravenscroft portal system – login details to this system will be sent to you via email when ticketing opens. Alternatively you can simply email graduation@lcm.ac.uk to let us know that you will not be attending your allocated ceremony in person.
I have failed to gain sufficient marks to receive my award, or I am currently resitting/completing further work in order to pass my course. What happens regarding graduation?
Only students that have received sufficient marks in which to be awarded their qualification etc. will be eligible to attend their graduation ceremony.
Once you have received final marks for your qualification you will be eligible to attend the next possible graduation ceremony, however we cannot guarantee space at these, and ceremonies may not take place until the following year.
I would like more guest tickets – how do I access more?
All graduands will be allocated a total of two guest tickets when booking your own attendance and gowning. These will be free-of-charge.
If you require any or all of these tickets, you must book them at the time of booking your own attendance.
If there is an opportunity for us to release further tickets this information will be shared and they will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Please note, this will be dependent on unclaimed tickets and confirmed student attendance
Will there be accessible seating available?
Yes there is accessible seating in The Venue, and we will ensure a selection of seats are designated for those with access needs.
The Venue can be accessed via a lift in the Venue lobby. Please get in touch via graduation@lcm.ac.uk to discuss your requirements.
Is BSL interpretation provided?
Where requested (or the need is already identified) we will provide BSL interpretation for graduands and guests. This will not be available for those streaming ceremonies.
