Library & Study Spaces
- There are four iMacs available on the first floor of the library.
- One iMac is available in the drop-in area of 401, which you can use in Skills for Learning and Digital Coaching appointments.

Mac Availability
Some spaces will, at times, be utilised for teaching. You can check availability on Room Booker.
Live availability of individual Mac devices can also be found on our Sassafras Map System.
Software Availability
Our Mac devices contain a variety of software available for you to use. To see the software available on individual devices, locate and select a Mac on the Sassafras Map System. A list will be presented to you, containing all the software currently installed and available on that device.
Room Booker
Room Booker can be used to see availability, you can use any Mac Lab when it is not being used for lessons.
Software Updates
We regularly compare the versions of software installed on Conservatoire Apple devices with the latest available releases. Where appropriate, updates are reviewed, tested and deployed in a timely manner.
Conservatoire Apple devices include a large number of applications, plugins, libraries and supporting systems. These all need to be reviewed and checked before updates can be deployed, to help ensure compatibility and minimise disruption.
Planned update periods happen in each trimester. Where possible, updates may also be deployed outside these periods as new releases are made available by software publishers.
If you notice that a particular piece of software appears to be out of date, you can email MacSupport@lcm.ac.uk to request a review.
